Turkey hikes duty rates on 22 goods imported from US

According to a decree published on the Official Gazette on August 15, 2018, Turkey has raised tariffs on 22 U.S. products, including passenger cars, PVC, coal, paper, tobacco, and alcohol.
Accordingly, the additional customs duties set forth in the list increased the tariffs on US PVC imported under HS code 3904.10 to 50%, on other articles of plastics and articles of other materials of headings 3901 to 3914 to 60%, and on polyamides in primary forms of heading 3908.10 to 10%.
The increased rates shall enter into force on the day of the publication. However, there is an exception for loaded cargos from the US with a way-bill before the publication date on the condition a customs declaration or a summary declaration will be issued within 45 days after the publication date of the decree.
