ExxonMobil signs deal to build new petchem complex in China

According to a press release on the company’s website, ExxonMobil has signed a cooperation framework agreement with Chinese government officials for the proposed construction of a chemical complex in the Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park, China.
The proposed complex includes a 1.2 million tons/year ethylene flexible feed steam cracker, two performance PE lines, and two differentiated performance PP lines.
The new multi-billion project is planned to start up in 2023 and remains subject to a final investment decision, the company said.
