Production updates on PVC plants in China

According to sources close to the companies, several Chinese producers are planning to carry out maintenance shutdowns at their PVC units for the remainder of this month and October.
Dezhou Shihua’s 100,000 tons/year unit in Shandong and Inner Mongolia Yihua’s 300,000 tons/year plant in Inner Mongolia are expected to be shut for turnaround in October with no timeframe for a resumption of operations.
Suzhou Huasu’s ethylene-based PVC unit in Jiangsu will suspend operations on October 15. The 140,000 tons/year unit is planned to restart after a month-long maintenance.
Taishan Yanhua’s 100,000 tons/year plant and Heilongjiang Tianhua’s 300,000 tons/year plant were both taken offline on September 24 for a week-long turnaround. Tangshan Sanyou’s 400,000 tons/year carbide-based PVC plant will also undergo a week-long maintenance, starting from October 1.
