China starts antidumping probe on PVC
Oct. 09, 2018
According to a statement published by the country’s Ministry of Commerce, China has initiated investigations into alleged dumping of PVC from the US, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan on September 28.
The ministry stated that it has decided to conduct the investigation after Chinese producers filed an application in July, requesting antidumping duties against the PVC imports from the four countries.
Accordingly, the ministry started implementing anti-dumping measures applicable to PVC imports originating in the aforementioned countries by September 29, 2018. During the period of investigation, import from those four countries will be subject to the current rates of duty.
The investigation is expected to be concluded before September 28, 2019.
